The awards for the first year of MPBA will be highlighted this weekend! They are: “Most Innovative Business Award,” and “Most Successful Business Award”, “The Heart of the Community Award” and the “Come Back Award.” In the first year of operation these are the awards that will be given on Friday night, July 15th at 17825 Pine Trail
The Pinewood Farmers Market has launched an MPBA Fundraising Event at the Market this Saturday July 16th. We will be having a raffle to raise money for MPBA and Maryellen Titus is coordinating this portion of the event. We are asking that each MPBA business to donate a “raffle” item to be included in some raffles that will be sold at the Farmers Market this Saturday.
Please work with Maryellen to give something of value that can be put into a number of raffles that will raise money towards the Beatification Project. Some ideas would include a gift certificate for a free dinner for two, a coupon for $50 off a repair service, a free carpet cleaning or a discount coupon for a service your business provides. Any and all ideas for the raffle would be appreciated and all businesses are encouraged to contact Maryellen in order to participate. We are also going to be selling T-shirts at the Farmers Market Booths! The T-shirts will have Munds Park identification with historical dating showing that the community dates back to 1876. The T-shirts are in production now and will be light green with dark green lettering, indentifying the wearer as a contributor to the Munds Park Beautification Project.

With a little more than a year away from the completion of the Freeway interchange, we will be off and rolling towards making the Beautification project a reality. We will also be handing out Petitions to all MPBA members to begin enlisting the broad community support necessary to help Coconino County Planning and Development see how important this Beautification Project is the residents and visitors of Munds Park. We hope to be able to have at least 2500 Munds park regulars sign the petitions which will be turned in when we submit out proposals to the county and ADOT.
